
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has completed one year in office. On this same day in 2024, Chandrababu Naidu took oath as the CM of Andhra Pradesh for the fourth time after winning a historic mandate of 164/175 seats.
The first year of Naidu’s tenure has been eventful.

The cash-strapped state is slowly trying to get back on its feet as Naidu is trying to strike a balance between Development and Welfare.
The focus is back on investments.

During this year alone, MoUs have been signed for investments worth Rs. 9.50 lakh crore, out of which projects worth Rs. 4.95 lakh crore have been started and are in various stages of implementation.

Google started scouting land in Amaravati to launch important projects, including a YouTube Academy and using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve how the government works.
Several other marquee investments include LG Electronics, Carrier Global, Lulu, Reliance, KITEX, etc.
Along with Job Creation in the Private Sector, this Government also conducted a Mega DSC for 16,347 Teaching Posts.
The previous Jagan government did not release a single DSC notification during the five years it was in power between 2019-2024.
Immediately after coming to Power, the Government focused on improving the severely battered roads across the state. Several 100s of Kilometers of Roads were re-laid and repaired in the last year, bringing relief to the commuters.
Amaravati works were back on track, and the government has estimated a cost of Rs 64,000 crore for the construction of government buildings, roads, drainage, construction of reservoirs, and other such infrastructure facilities, along with layouts for plots to be given to the farmers.
The tenders have already been approved for Rs 50,000 crore. Around 8000 workers are carrying out construction works. The government has set a target of three years for the completion of works.
Polavaram works also picked up pace. During YS Jagan’s time (5 years), barely 3.84% works were completed. However, in the 12 months of the CBN government, 5.93% works were completed.
The Government also put pressure on the Central Government to fast-track the Railway Zone and also got a Special Package for the Vishaka Steel Plant.
Along with Development, Chandrababu Naidu has also focused on Welfare this term.
Immediately after coming to Power, Naidu increased the Pensions to 4,000 Rupees. And this is the biggest Pensions Bill in the Country by miles.
Similarly, under the Deepam-2 scheme, the government began delivering three free LPG cylinders annually to women.
More than 200 Anna Canteens were operational across the state and are feeding 1000s of the Poor every day with healthy and hygienic food only at 5 Rupees a meal.
Just into his second year, Chandrababu Naidu also executed another crucial promise with Thalli Ki Vandhanam.
An amount of ₹15,000 will be given annually to the mothers of every school-going child under the scheme. Students who enroll in Class 1 and the first-year Intermediate this year are also eligible to avail themselves of the scheme. The government will disburse ₹8,745 crore under the scheme to benefit over 67 lakh students.
The Chief Minister also announced the implementation of another key scheme, Annadata Sukhibava, also this month. Every farmer will be helped to the tune of 20,000 Rupees per year and will be paid in three installments. The first installment will be disbursed on the 21st of this month.
The Free Bus Travel Scheme for women is also starting from August 15th.
Like this, Chandrababu Naidu’s first year of this term turned out to be eventful, cutting a balance between the Welfare and Development despite many challenges.
