Cognizant to Invest Rs 1582 Cr in Vizag

Cognizant IT Solutions has shown interest in setting up an IT campus in Visakhapatnam. The company will be investing Rs 1582 crore in the project.

The company aims to provide employment for 8000 people. Cognizant has shown its willingness to set up its new centre in the presence of IT Minister Nara Lokesh. The AP government has decided to provide each acre of land allocated at Rs 99.

Cognizant has shared that it intends to setup a world-class IT campus in Vizag. It has requested for the allotment of 21.31 acres in Kopuluppada that falla under the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority.

The company has set a target of March 2029, for the commencement of operations, significantly boosting the IT ecosystem in the state.

TCS will be starting operations soon in the port city. It is known that the AP government intends to make Vizag the IT Hub of Andhra Pradesh.




IT Minister Nara Lokesh is going forward with the slogan of Chandrababu for providing speed of business and ease of business to the tech giants to consider Vizag as a viable option for setting up their base.
