Direct Flights From Hyderabad

The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport will be soon expanding its connectivity to International destinations. There will be 10 direct flights to overseas destinations.

As of now, it has connectivity with 22 International destinations. The RGIA authorities share that the first batch of flights from Hyderabad to Hong Kong, Hanoi, Addis Ababa and Amsterdam will start in six months.

They further add that discussions are on with various national and international carriers to start operations between Hyderabad and Paris, Australia, Kathmandu, Krabi, Jakarta and Denpasar in another 12 to 18 months.

The new flights will help students going to pursue their higher education abroad in France and Australia. Presently,those flying to Australia have to fly for 14 hours with overlays in Singapore or Bangkok.

Once direct flights become a reality, they will travel for 7 to 8 hours. Same is the case with fliers to Paris. They have to stop in West Asia, Mumbai or Delhi.




The RGIA authorities say if things go as planned, it will be welcome news for those travelling abroad both for education and leisure.
