YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is still trying to keep his cadre ignorant by blaming the EVMs for his historic defeat.
He cites the example of how even Developed Countries do not use EVMs and advocates the necessity of bringing back Paper Ballots. We have seen him trying to cook conspiracy theories that the Election Commission is not counting VVPATs and is saying it will do mock polling.

Doing Mock Polling with the same EVMs is the Prescribed Standard Procedure for EVM verification.
But the YSR Congress is trying to spread canards that there is something wrong with the EVMs and so, the EC is not agreeing to count the VVPAT Slips.

But the Andhra Pradesh High Court had brought the curtains down on this drama.
The Court has opined that doing Mock Polling on the same EVMs is enough to check if the Software has been compromised and there is no need to count the VVPAT Slips.

The Election Commission also informed the court that it has no issue with the counting of VVPAT Slips but they can not count the slips until there is a court order, as per the rules.
The High Court got satisfied with the EC’s argument and struck down the petition that is filed by the Former YSR Congress leader Balineni Srinivasa Reddy.
It has to be seen if YSR Congress will stop the drama at least now or will continue it in the Supreme Court.
It is to be noted that Balineni left YSR Congress and joined Janasena after filing this Petition. But no other YSR Congress leader impleaded in the Petition indicating the lack of seriousness on this issue. It looks like the EVM Tampering Drama is only to hoodwink the cadre.
