Harish Rao

Former Minister and BRS MLA, Harish Rao, wrote an open letter to All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjuna Kharge, urging him to take stern disciplinary action against Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

Harish Rao questioned Congress’s hypocrisy in condoning Revanth Reddy’s abusive language against former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.

He said while Congress seriously condemns BJP’s remarks against Rahul Gandhi, it conveniently ignores Revanth’s language against KCR.

“This tolerance of his crude and offensive conduct raises serious questions about the ethical and moral compass of the Congress party,” wrote Harish Rao.

In his letter, Harish Rao said that Kharge wrote a letter to PM Modi, condemning BJP leaders’ “terrorist” remarks against Rahul Gandhi but is not taking action against Revanth.

Harish alleged that Revanth crossed all borders and is using highly offensive, defamatory and fitly remarks against KCR publicly. He also accused Revanth of waging physical attacks against BRS MLAs, freelance journalists and YouTubers.

Harish said that by letting go of Revanth for his abusive remarks, Kharge is acting like ‘Dritarashtra’ in Mahabharata, who willfully ignored his son Dhuryodhana’s cruel actions.

He wrote, “By allowing Shri Revanth Reddy’s abuses to go unchecked, the Congress Party signals that political decency and decorum is selectively demanded or enforced only when it suits their own vested interests. Such blatant hypocrisy raises disturbing suspicions, of a dubious nexus that grants Shri Revanth Reddy blanket impunity from consequences.”

He further requested Kharge to prove that the Congress party doesn’t hold any double standards by taking stern action against Revanth Reddy. He also forwarded the same letter to Rahul Gandhi and KC Venu Gopal.
