MPTC and ZPTC Elections will happen first and will be followed by Sarpanch and Municipal Elections covering all the Rural and Urban Areas of the State.
This decision has surprised everyone because the broader opinion is that Revanth Reddy is riding a severe anti-incumbency wave, and BRS will comfortably win if the Assembly elections are held today.

Revanth Reddy is already struggling to have a grip on the party because of too much internal democracy in Congress.
Once he appears weak, we will see leaders pounce on him and create headaches.
In such a scenario, the Congress High Command will also lose trust in Revanth. This condition may even endanger his CM Seat.
BRS should be capitalizing on this opportunity, but then, the party immediately scored a self-goal.
Former minister Srinivas Goud criticized the announcement of local elections as an injustice to the BCs.
He questioned why the Prime Minister was not consulted on the BC reservation bill and accused the Telangana state government of cheating the BCs on reservations.
He questioned how local elections would be held without providing a reservation.
This kind of statement, when the mood seems to be in favour of the BRS, is suicidal.
People will see that BRS is unhappy and not prepared for the local elections.
That would be an advantage to the Congress Party.
Wonder why and how KCR is allowing the leaders to talk like this, damaging the prospects of the party!
