Huge Relief to Harish Rao in Phone Tapping Case

The Telangana High Court gave huge relief to ex minister Harish Rao and ex DGP Radhakishan Rao in the phone tapping case.

The High Court struck down the FIR filed in the case. A case was filed in Punjagutta police station against Harish Rao by real estate businessman Chakradhar Goud.

The police filed a case and added Harish Rao and Radhakishan Rao as accused. Already, the hearings are finished in the case and the High Court gave a judgement quashing the FIR.

Sometime back, Chakradhar Goud had claimed in front of media that he feared for life from Harish Rao. He also said that Harish Rao and Radhakishan Rao tapped his phone while in power and harassed him.

It is known that two FIRs were filed against Harish Rao regarding phone tapping. Harish Rao and Radhakishan Rao filed a quash petition on the second FIR. After extensive hearings from both sides, the HC gave the final decision.




The Punjagutta police filed the case based on the evidence given by Chakradhar Goud. However, Harish Rao’s counsel argued that the evidence was inadequate. Incidentally, the Court too felt the same and dismissed the case.
