Recently, there has been a trend in Telangana to use high-volume DJ music systems and amplifiers in religious processions. This is particularly evident during events like Ganesh Visarjan, Bonalu, and Durga Mata Visarjan, where the number of DJs and sound systems has increased significantly.
The high sound levels from these music systems are causing disturbances, contributing to noise pollution, and posing health risks to people. As a result, the Hyderabad police have decided to ban the use of these music systems in religious processions.

However, sound systems which generate lesser levels of audio will be allowed with restrictions. The decible levels should be as follows: Industrial areas (75 dB in morning; 70 dB at night), Commercial areas (65 dB in morning; 55 dB at night), Residential areas (55 dB in morning; 45 dB at night) and Silent areas (50 dB in morning; 45 dB at night).
