In a sensational move, the High Court of Telangana awarded a death sentence to an individual who raped a four-and-a-half-year-old kid in Hyderabad back in 2017.
The accused, Dinesh Kumar, used to be a centring worker at a construction site in Narsingi. He migrated from Madhya Pradesh.

The victim’s parents and Dinesh used to work at the same site. They know him as well. On the day of the incident, the little girl was playing near her home.
Dinesh took her to a nearby grocery shop, bought her chocolates, took her into bushes and raped her. He raped her twice. Later, fearing that she would tell everyone about it, he killed her.

When the girl went missing, her parents filed a police complaint at Narinsgi Police Station. After the investigation, Dinesh was arrested and produced at the court.
In 2021, the Ranga Reddy court gave a death sentence to Dinesh. However, he challenged the decision and filed a petition at the High Court.

The High Court, after hearing the case, opined that the Ranga Reddy court’s verdict was right and gave a death sentence to the culprit.
