There is a saying in Telugu – “పిల్లికి చెలగాటం – ఎలుకకు ప్రాణసంకటం”.
This saying rightly suits the BJP in Andhra Pradesh.

The Telugu Desam Party Leadership is under severe pressure after the cadre got hurt with the comments of Pawan Kalyan and Naga Babu at Janasena 12th Formation Day Celebrations.
While Pawan Kalyan said Janasena is the reason for TDP’s Survival, Naga Babu went on to say there is no role of the TDP and its cadre in Pawan Kalyan’s Victory in Pithapuram.

There are demands that Chandrababu should deny the Cabinet Berth to Naga Babu as he may force new problems for the alliance with his Loose Talk.
Knowing Chandrababu Naidu very well, the cadre has least expectations that he would deny the cabinet berth for Naga Babu and hurt Pawan Kalyan.

It is clear that Pawan Kalyan is giving high importance for his family given the fact that he ignored caste calculations and the leaders who worked for the party to give his brother a chance.
Meanwhile, as like ‘పిల్లికి చెలగాటం’, BJP wants to make a merry from this stand-off between both the parties.
A group in the BJP are reaching out to the Party High Command to get that Cabinet Berth to Somu Veerraju in case Naga Babu is not given.
They are saying the High Command that Pawan Kalyan will also agree to that if Modi and Amit Shah requests.
They are reminding the High Command how Pawan Kalyan sacrificed three MLA and 2 MP seats for BJP and also recently a Rajya Sabha seat for R Krishnaiah when they requested.
Taking Somu Veerraju is as bad as taking Naga Babu into the Cabinet as far as the TDP cadre is concerned.
Somu Veerraju and his batch played the Opposition to the TDP in 2014-19 despite being a part of the then Chandrababu Naidu Government and then, between 2019 and 2024, they played to the tunes of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Chandrababu Naidu bowed to the pressure of the BJP High Command at the last minute and gave him an MLC Seat.
If he is taken into the cabinet, the hell will break loose in the cadre.
But then, Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh are deeply in love with Pawan Kalyan that they have no intention whatsoever to hurt him.
Less than a day after the comments of Naga Babu, Nara Lokesh interacted with Sanitation Workers at Alpha Hotel, Mangalagiri.
Even though there is no space, Lokesh took space and invoked Pawan Kalyan there.
When the people there offered him tea in cup, Lokesh asked them if ‘Pawan Anna Glass’ is not available.
If there is no immediate reaction, it is too big of an ask to deny a cabinet berth to Naga Babu.
In all probability, Chandrababu Naidu will delay Naga Babu’s Cabinet induction until the emotions of the cadre are cooled down.
We can also expect a small arrest sooner or later so that the cadre will shift to another topic leaving this.
