
Will Andhra liquor scam be another Delhi liquor scam? The answer appears to be yes. It is said the ruling alliance government is making the right moves to probe the liquor scam and punish those involved.
The liquor scam that happened during YSRCP government’s term is being taken seriously by the alliance government. The government is said to be preparing a strong case against those involved.

It is known that TDP MP Lavu Krishnadevarayalu has raised the issue in Parliament. He had alleged that more than Rs 4000 crore were directed abroad as a part of the scam.
On Tuesday, Lavu Krishnadevarayalu met up with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He also met up with AP CM Chandrababu Naidu.

With these developments, it is being said that key developments are likely to take place in AP politics.
Lavu Krishnadevarayalu had alleged that of the Rs 90,000 crore liquor business in AP, Rs 18,000 crore were misappropriated. He is said to have told Amit Shah that another Rs 4000 crore was transferred to Dubai and African countries under benami names.

Lavu had said that of the Rs 99,000 crore in sales through government-run liquor outlets, only Rs 690 crore transactions were digital. The MP alleged that the rest of the funds were swindled by YS Jagan and his government.
Between 2019 and 2024, the then government introduced around 38 new liquor brands that were associated with the then ruling party.
Lavu further posted on X that while the previous government promised prohibition, it indulged in illegal transactions worth crores through benami distilleries.
He further alleged that they took complete control of APSBCL and diverted Rs 2000 cr to Dubai. A full-scale investigation has been demanded, and the matter has been brought to the attention of the central government, Lavu Krishnadevarayalu wrote.
Amit Shah is said to have assured that an investigation will be initiated into Andhra Pradesh liquor scam.
