
The alliance government celebrated 1 year of its governance in a grand style in the presence of MLAs, MPs, MLCs, officials, heads of departments, Secretaries, district Collectors, SPs and other important people in state machinery.
The meeting was held behind the Secretariat in Amaravati. Though it was planned for June 12, it was postponed to June 23, due to Ahmedabad air crash.

Chandrababu and Lokesh represented the TDP, Pawan Kalyan the Jana Sena and the state BJP president Purandareswari represented the BJP.
The programme titled ‘First Step in Good Governance’ started at 5 pm on Monday. Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan underscored the importance of law and order in the state. He said that the citizens of Andhra Pradesh must remember that alliance government was ‘manchi’ government and not ‘metaka’ government.

AP CM Chandrababu took the attendees through a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the achievements of NDA government. He spoke briefly but clearly about the wrong doings and loopholes in governance during the past government.
On the other hand, Chandrababu spoke about the achievements of alliance government and how it was possible due to the double-engine governance. He lauded the aid and support provided by the Center in successfully implementing various schemes and projects.

Chandrababu pointed out that they achieved a lot in 1 year, though it was not enough. He said he wanted to instill confidence among citizens of Andhra Pradesh about the next four years.
He questioned various ministers about the functioning of their departments and got feedback.
Minister Nara Lokesh said people its the victory of TDP, victory of NDA. But it’s the victory of people who gave 94% strike rate. 164 out of 175. People broke records and rewrote history, Lokesh said.
