BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has been granted bail in the Delhi Excise Policy scam. After spending over five months in Tihar Jail, Kavitha has finally been relieved in this case.
Celebrations began in the BRS camp following the Supreme Court’s decision to grant bail to Kavitha. KT Rama Rao, Harish Rao, and several other BRS leaders were present at the Supreme Court during the hearing.

Kavitha is expected to be released from Tihar Jail this evening. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has imposed a few conditions on Kavitha before granting bail.
The court permitted Kavitha’s release in both cases filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) upon furnishing bonds of Rs. 10 lakhs each.

Additionally, the court ordered Kavitha to deposit her passport with the concerned authorities and stated that she should not attempt to influence or intimidate the sureties.
Kavitha spent 164 days in jail after being arrested by ED officials in Hyderabad on March 15 due to her alleged connection with the Delhi Liquor Scam. Days after her arrest by the ED, the CBI also filed a case against her and took her into custody.

Kavitha had filed bail petitions in both cases multiple times but failed to secure bail in various courts until today when the Supreme Court finally granted it.
