The Telangana Assembly sessions started today, and the opposition BRS party created a controversy right before day one of the sessions began.
BRS MLAs, led by KT Rama Rao, wore t-shirts featuring pictures of CM Revanth Reddy and industrialist Gautam Adani. The t-shirts also featured the tagline “Revanth-Adani Bhai-Bhai.”

BRS leaders replicated Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent act, where he wore a t-shirt featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Gautam Adani.
When they were entering the assembly wearing those t-shirts, they were stopped by the police. The police requested them to remove the t-shirts before entering the assembly. However, KTR refused to comply and referred to it as “Rahul Gandhi style.”

This resulted in a heated argument between BRS MLAs and police officers. Eventually, they were taken into custody and sent back in a police van.
This is not the first time BRS leaders have been arrested in front of the assembly this year. It has happened a couple of times before as well.

Many people feel that they could have removed the t-shirts and entered the assembly when the police requested, as it is against the rules. By not doing so, it is now assumed that BRS purposefully got arrested to skip the one-year anniversary assembly sessions of the Congress government.
