“At least God should be kept away from politics. What is the evidence that adulterated ghee is mixed in Laddus?” the court asked.

The Supreme Court commented that the CM spoke to the media without taking a second opinion.

The answers to the questions of the Supreme Court are very simple. However, the government could not clarify them in court today.

The Ghee Samples were tested in the National Dairy Development Board which is a statutory body set up by an Act of the Parliament of India. Its integrity is impeccable and there is no need for a second opinion.

The CM commented on it only after checking the report of NDDB which is a Gold Standard in such tests.

Another question is what is the evidence that adulterated ghee is mixed in Laddus?

A company has adulterated ghee because it can not supply pure ghee at the price it has agreed to.

If the company adulterated ghee in the four tankers that got tested, there is no reason why it would supply pure ghee in the previous instances.

The tests conducted in Tirumala Labs were basic and all the tankers passed those tests. The labs are not capable of performing advanced tests to detect the presence of Animal Fats. Once such tests are conducted in NDDB, they are caught.

The previous tankers may have passed TTD tests (remember the labs can not detect Animal Fats) and were used in Laddus. Thus there is a good chance adulterated ghee may be used in Laddus.

Why will the company only adulterate these four tankers and leave the previous tankers incurring a loss?

The Government should be well prepared to explain the case when it comes to the next hearing on Thursday.
