Lavu Srikrishna Devarayalu

Lavu Srikrishna Devarayalu made his political debut in 2019. He contested for Narasaraopeta Parliament in 2019 on YSR Congress ticket and won with a majority of 153,978.

He hails from a reputed family. His father Lavu Rathaiah is the Chairman of Vignan University. Srikrishna Devarayalu is the University’s Vice-Chairman.

He is an educated and calm-going young man and has a good reputation in the people of the constituency and even across the state.

While the YSR Congress is filled completely with motormouths, Lavu earned the respect of the people by being humble.

But then, when the elections were around the corner, Jagan Mohan Reddy ill-treated Lavu.

Jagan doubted Lavu’s loyalty and asked him to prove it by keeping a press meet and by scolding Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh.

Lavu was offended by the ‘Loyalty Test’ and clarified that abusing is not his style of Politics.

Jagan tried to push him out of the party with a social experiment – he asked Lavu to contest from Guntur while he wanted to field a Backward Class candidate from Narasaraopeta.

Offended by this behavior, Srikrishna Devarayalu quit the party and joined TDP.

He got the Narasaraopeta MP ticket and won with a majority slightly better than his 2019 majority.

Jagan’s over-engineered and failed strategies cost him a clean, instantly likable, well-educated, young, and potentially strong candidate like Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu.

This is one of the many examples of how Jagan’s Social Experiments failed in this election.
