The government has mentioned these points in a report prepared for the Collectors’ Conference.
It said that the learning standards at the primary school level are very low. To overcome this, it has proposed to bring in the ‘model school’ policy.
The report states that 87 schools are extremely poor with a zero star rating in infrastructure, and 311 schools have remained with a zero rating in academics.
The report indicates that Nadu-Nedu Scheme was just a PR Stunt. In its manifesto in the last election, YSR Congress claimed that it has spent 73,000 Crore for the Education Sector and with these results, there are doubts if funds were embezzled.
The third phase of Nadu-Nedu did not even begin and the then Government had drawn 900 Crore Rupees.
