Telugu Desam general secretary Nara Lokesh must act fast. At least that’s the moral of the story from the talk of TDP Guntakal MLA Gummanuru Jayaram on Friday.
The MLA who jumped over from YSRCP to TDP, turned rather over enthusiastic and spoke unnecessary topics during a public meeting.

Gummanuru Jayaram said it was the last call for YSRCP cadre to come join TDP. He said they must join before the local body elections. Jayaram crossed the line by saying that he was giving them time till local body elections.
But Jayaram did not stop there. Being part of the alliance government seems to have gone to his head. He said if they (YSRCP cadre) don’t join TDP, he will snap their tails and apply limestone.

Jayaram went on to say if Lokesh closes his red book by then, he will open the red book after local polls.
The TDP gave directives recently that members from other parties cannot join TDP. Even if they do, their profiles will be scanned by the TDP headquarters.

Still, Gummanuru Jayaram behaved in an erratic manner much to the embarrassment of other party leaders. It is high time Lokesh takes disciplinary action against such MLAs and put them under control.
Otherwise, all the hardwork put in by Chandrababu and Lokesh to develop TDP as a responsible and clean party will go down the drain!
