Nara Lokesh to Attend Martyred Soldier's Final Rites

Soldier Murali Naik will be laid to rest with state honors on Sunday. Minister Nara Lokesh will be attending the funeral. Murali Naik’s body reached Karnataka on Saturday where huge crowds came to see him one last time. From there, AP Minister Savita received the body and it is being brought to his village Kallithanda in Sri Satysai district.

The body is being brought by road and several people came out along the way shouting ‘Jai Jawan’. Murali Maik who was killed during heavy shelling by Pakistan along Line of Control on early Friday morning, succumbed to the injuries.

Murali Naik’s family shared with media that it was Murali Naik’s dream to join the Army and die for the country. While he fulfilled his dream, the entire nation was shocked as he was barely 25.

CM Chandrababu expressed his deep regret for Naik’s death and spoke to the bereaved parents as the news emerged.

While India targeted terrorist bases, Pakistan retaliated by trying to destroy defense bases and civilians. It also opened heavy firing along the Line of Control, which led to the death of civilians in border states.
