Will Vijayashanti be relegated to MLC post? Is getting a cabinet berth not easy in the Congress? Vijayashanti becoming home minister was just a rumour? These are the questions that are being raised now.
And going by Minister Konda Surekha’s statements, it appears as if the rumour will remain just a rumour. Konda Surekha had a media chit-chat in the Assembly today. She said the Cabinet expansion will not be happening anytime soon.

Surekha feigned ignorance about MLC becoming a minister. She said it remains to be seen what will transpire in future. From her words, the Congress circles are busy discussing the matter.
It is known that the Telangana Congress did not recommend Vijayashanti’s name for MLC seat. The decision came from the High Command. Though she joined the Congress from BJP, prior to general elections, she has maintained a low profile after joining the party.

Then the High Command sprung a surprise by making her a MLC. There was also talk that she will be made the home minister.
It has to be noted here that Vijayashanti has once again become vocal and is taking on KCR and BRS. She is speaking in press meets against the opposition.

But with Konda Surekha’s comments, it looks like the state Congress has no plans for her. Now will Vijayashanti continue to be vocal or will she remain quiet is the latest topic of discussion in Congress camps.
