Notices Against Kethireddy Venkatarami Reddy's Encroachments

The authorities in Dharmavaram are taking action against alleged land encroachments linked to former YSRCP MLA Kethireddy Venkataraman Reddy. These irregularities, including constructing and cultivating gardens on land encroaching on a local pond, were previously highlighted in the media.

The issue gained attention during Nara Lokesh’s Yuvagalam padayatra, during which he promised to address such encroachments.

Revenue and irrigation department officials have now issued formal notices to Gali Vasumathi, the wife of the former MLA’s younger brother, to vacate the illegally occupied pond land and remove constructions.

Notices have specifically identified that land in survey numbers 908, 909, 910, and 661-1, totaling 20.61 acres, must be vacated within a week. The Notices state that they must vacate the encroached lands within 7 days. Otherwise, the officials will forcibly take possession of the land.

The Dharmavaram Irrigation Department officials issued notices on the 5th of this month. The notices state that Ketireddy has encroached on 20 acres. Kethireddy’s PA received the notices on the 6th of this month. Currently, the former MLA Kethireddy Venkataramireddy is in the Himalayas.




The Chandrababu Naidu-led government is committed to uncovering and addressing irregularities during the previous YSRCP administration in the joint Anantapur district.
