Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation the other day. His Address followed two Press Conferences of the DGMO-ranked officers of the Armed Forces.

While the DGMOs delivered Stellar Messages fitting their offices, all three Press Conferences seem to be more of a Damage Control after the Public dissatisfaction erupted over the unconditional ceasefire.
The Prime Minister’s Address has nothing new, he narrated the entire episode and what our DGMOs have been saying by mixing some Drama in his own style.

There is a clear diplomatic failure in the Episode.
The United States clearly interfered in the Kashmir issue, which India has always said is an internal issue.

US President Donald Trump’s crass language further aggravated this.
How can a third party announce the Ceasefire ahead of India?
And then, does he appreciate the ‘Common Sense’ of India and Pakistan for agreeing to the Ceasefire?
The Narendra Modi Government is just trying to do Damage Control, but the US President once again spoke to the media just before the Address, embarrassing the Prime Minister.
Trump told the media that he threatened both countries with severing Trade Ties and they fell in place. He also announced that he saved Crores of Lives from an impending Nuclear War.
A foreign Power has spoken about Pakistan and India in the same sentence and implied that we are kind of equal in their eyes.
This is nothing but equating the victim and the perpetrator. It happened twice, and India did not register a protest.
Pakistan at least had Turkey and Azerbaijan on its side. Those countries openly announced Support to Pakistan, and we have none.
Not one country took our side when we opposed the IMF’s One Billion Dollar Bailout. It was India versus the other countries.
Pakistan and the Militants have always tried to make Kashmir an international issue.
India always rejected the idea of a dispute and sees the problem as an internal affair of India. India has never requested any foreign country’s mediation over its problems with Pakistan. But Donald Trump’s Statement speaks otherwise.
The US President chose to make a very casual statement about India minutes before the Prime Minister’s Address to the Nation, implying that there is no respect for India’s Sovereignty whatsoever.
This is a clear diplomatic failure and the failure of the External Affairs Minister.
We have reduced the External Affairs Ministry to a PR stunt. The Minister is into full-time Modi Bhajan with NRIs and talk of laser eyes while we are weakened diplomatically.
We still speak of the Past Prime Ministers like Nehru, Indira, PVNR, Vajpayee, and Manmohan Singh since they left solid legacies for the country and made the nation stand tall on the world stage.
Modi inherited such a country and should now evaluate where India is.
All these problems are brushed under the carpet now. BJP is already planning a Tiranga Yatra around the country. Very soon, a movie will get made. BJP will win or grab Bihar somehow, and there are Bhajan TV channels which will celebrate everything as a masterstroke.
But History will remember that Modi failed India when the Armed Forces put their lives for the country.
