Narendra Modi Skips All-Party Meeting

The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi was conspicuous by his absence at the all-party meeting convened to discuss about the Pahalgam attack in Jammu & Kashmir.

The all-party saw opposition leaders from various parties in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The meeting was led by defense minister Rajnath Singh. Home Minister Amit Shah was also present.

The absence of PM irked the leaders as they expected answers for a range of questions and how the attack happened. Worse still, the PM was in Bihar to give election speech.

The Indian National Congress expressed its disappointment on X. Questions like why did it happen? Who is responsible? Was it a security lapse, an intelligence lapse, an IB lapse, an informant failure, a police failure. The PM was supposed to explain all this, but he did not come, they quoted Kharge.

The Congress further wrote that the government agreed it was a security lapse. Home Minister Amit Shah said that such an incident will not happen again. Despite 3-tier security, they were not able to save 26 innocent people, INC posted.




Mallikarjun Kharge who was part of the meeting said that they were with the government and will support government’s decision.
