The Andhra Pradesh government has taken the building and development of Amaravati rather prestigiously.

The alliance government in Andhra Pradesh headed by Chandrababu is planning to get Prime Minister Modi for the ground breaking ceremony for re-starting the capital works. Modi is likely to come down to Amaravati between April 15 and April 20. While Modi has accepted Babu’s invitation, a final date hasn’t been set for his visit.

It has already been reported that tenders have been cleared to begin works worth Rs 37,702 crore.

The NDA government and especially PM Modi has been quite supportive to the state government in giving funds to various projects. Huge funds were released for Polavaram, Vizag Steel plant and Amaravati. While Polavaram got Rs 12,157 crore, Vizag Steel Plant got Rs 11,440 crore.

Modi has been quite pro-active in ensuring that Amaravati development takes place at a swift pace. He will take an overview and do groundbreaking for works adding upto Rs 1 lakh crore in Amaravati.

The alliance government is confident of completing the world-class capital in three years.
