Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were severely hit by the incessant rainfalls over the past few days. Various districts in both states witnessed catastrophic damage due to the rains.

There was a huge crop and property loss, many people lost their homes, and a few people died as well. The governments of both states have been relentlessly working on rescue operations and relief programs over the last few days.

When people were relieved by no rains for the last two days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) warned that there are chances of heavy rainfall in the next few days in AP and Telangana.

Due to the Low-Pressure Area (LPA) formed in the Bay of Bengal, the Telugu states are expected to receive heavy rains for the next few days. The weather analysts predicted that the LPA effect might last until September 9.

Vijayawada, which was flooded due to recent rains, may get another heavy rainfall. Godavari districts in AP will also experience heavy rains due to this LPA.




On the other side, there will be widespread rains across Telangana. However, the intensity will be higher in districts like joint Adilabad, Khammam, Warangal, and Karimnagar districts.
