Recently, TTD sent the ghee to the National Accreditation Board For Testing Calibration Lab for a quality check. They discovered that one of TTD’s five ghee distributors had been supplying poor-quality ghee.
The TTD immediately blacklisted the contractor, who is from Tamil Nadu, and issued him a show-cause notice.
Meanwhile, Shyamala Rao stated the need to renovate the TTD testing lab with modern technology. He mentioned that the board plans to import equipment from other countries for this purpose.
He also stated that a four-member committee has been formed to examine the loopholes in raw material procurement. He went on to assure that laddu with pure-ghee would be supplied in the coming days.
