Former MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi was sent to a fourteen-day remand and he was shifted to the district jail in Vijayawada.
The court hearing lasted from 11 PM to 1:45 AM post midnight and as arguments remained inconclusive, the judge extended the session for another 30 minutes before ordering the remand.

Government counsel Veeragandham Rajendra Prasad argued on behalf of the prosecution, while Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy represented Vamsi.
Ponnavolu is a familiar name in the state politics. He used to argue Jagan’s cases previously and was appointed as the Additional Advocate General during Jagan’s tenure.

He was instrumental in framing Chandrababu Naidu in illegal cases. He even used to hold press meets to defame Chandrababu Naidu.
Now, he is back to arguing the cases of YSR Congress leaders.

TDP Supporters are demanding that Ponnavolu should be arrested first so that others can be fixed later.
Already a case was registered against Ponnavolu’s son, Karthik Reddy after the Government had changed.
Karthik Reddy had given the twenty-year lease of 2.963 hectares of color granite (Srikakulam blue) in 2019 bypassing all the rules and procedures.
There was no e-auction and the remaining 6,000 applications for the lease were kept aside to favor Karthik Reddy.
There were no reverse auctions and judicial review – the process Jagan claims to have brought transparency in the system.
This scam surfaced last month.
TDP supporters are demanding that the government should pull strings in this scam and it would automatically lead to Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy.
