MLC Shambipur Raju said the Telangana government was constructing ‘four brother’ city and not Fourth city in the Legislative Council on Tuesday.
Reacting to the comment, Minister Sridhar Babu was angry and retorted that such statements are not appropriate in the House.

Responding to that Shambipur Raju said that more atrocious statements were being made in the Assembly. Intervening in the matter, Chairman Gutta said that what is happening in other House was inconsequential.
With the Chairman’s involvement, the issue died down.

Shambipur Raju was trying to raise the issue based on BRS working president KTR’s statement. He posted the statement – It is not 4th City. It is 4 Brothers’ City – in September, 2024.
At the time, KTR had said that the 4th city was a ploy by Revanth Reddy government to grab the land of the poor. He further alleged that coercive methods were being used to take lands from people in the area where Future City was planned. With the changed RRR alignment, attempts were being made to take over 400 acres of land, alleged KTR. He said that a key leader’s brothers and relatives were involved in the matter according to the locals.

Meanwhile, the 4th City or Future City will be developed as a city alongside the other three cities, Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Cyberabad. The city will be a Net Zero Carbon city and will be India’s answer to the future. It will be a hub of AI, medical tourism, sports, pharma and software, according to Telangana CM Revanth Reddy.
