Koneti Adimulam was first elected to the Assembly from Satyavedu in the 2019 elections as a YSRCP candidate. However, after YS Jagan denied him a ticket, Adimulam switched to the TDP and was re-elected as an MLA for the second time.
The woman alleges that he sexually assaulted her at the Bhimas Hotel in Tirupati. She claims to have already written to CM Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh about the incident. Furthermore, the victim stated that Adimulam threatened to kill her if she disclosed the matter to anyone, mentioning that they both belonged to the TDP.

AP TDP President Palla Srinivasa Rao immediately released a Press Statement saying that Adimulam has been suspended from the party.
Numerous YSR Congress leaders have faced many allegations but Jagan always turned a blind eye to those complaints. But Chandrababu acted immediately and that too on a sitting MLA indicating that there is no room for such behavior in the Telugu Desam Party.
