Singer Mangli who participated in TDP MP Rammohan Naidu’s protocal darshan at Arasavalli has given a clarification on the matter.
She requested everyone not to team her up with any one political party. Mangli said that politicizing a temple visit was unfair.

Mangli went on to say she did sing for YSRCP before 2019 and even campaigned for them in two contituencies. She added that she sang for BJP, BRS and other parties.
But since by then she was labeled as a YSRCP singer, some people stayed away from her. That was the reason behind refusing to sing for political parties in 2024.

Please look at me as a singer and look beyond politics. Like me and adore me as a singer. I was made SVBC channel advisor, but it was not a political post and many others were appointed for the same. Though I contemplated quitting, I was told not to worry as it had nothing to do with politics. Also, our family deity is Lord Venkateswara, so I continued, she mentioned in the letter she released.
She said clippings from before 2019 elections were being used to troll her. In reality, I have no party affiliations. I am apolitical. I am a singer and I wish to be loved and appreciated for being one, Mangli went on to say.
