Between 2019 and 2024, we used to see YSR Congress leaders making tall claims of defeating Chandrababu Naidu in Kuppam. Then Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy even wrested Kuppam local bodies using money and muscle.
There was widespread propaganda about something really happening in Kuppam.

But Chandrababu Naidu comfortably won Kuppam for the eighth time.
After the elections, the YSR Congress bubble burst almost immediately.

It is just about 50 days of Chandrababu Naidu’s rule and YSR Congress is empty there.
MLC K. R. J. Bharath who lost on the YSR Congress ticket shifted to Hyderabad and is out of the radar for the party cadre.

Bharath used to do tall talks before the elections but silently exited the constituency after the results.
Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy can not go to his own constituency and forget about Kuppam after the elections.
Several YSR Congress Councillors, MPTCs, and Sarpanches have joined the TDP already and it is a matter of days, before everyone will join the ruling party.
Kuppam Municipal Chairman Dr. Sudhir is also interested in joining the party but there is resistance from the TDP cadre in Kuppam.
TDP MLC Kancharla Srikanth has been given the affairs of Kuppam before the elections. He is doing a fine job there since then.
He has now taken up the duty of cleaning Kuppam completely.
In March 2023, Srikanth created a sensation by winning the East Rayalaseema Graduates MLC seat. It was the first indication that Jagan is losing big in Andhra Pradesh. But YSR Congress ignored saying ‘Maa voterlu vere unnaru’.
But Chandrababu realized Srikanth’s caliber and sent him to Kuppam immediately.
It is a matter of days before there will not be anyone in Kuppam to hold the YSR Congress flag.
