Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that special teams like HYDRAA will be established in every district of the state to take action against illegal structures in various areas.
He instructed district collectors to prepare reports on illegal structures built by encroaching on lakes and ponds and directed them to seek court permission to take action against these buildings.

Revanth Reddy has been touring flood-affected areas in Suryapet, Khammam, and Mahbubabad districts since yesterday. During his tour, he spoke to the media, stating that the flood-like situation in Khammam is largely due to illegal structures built by encroaching on water bodies.
Revanth highlighted that he has received numerous complaints against former Khammam BRS MLA Puvvada Ajay regarding the construction of these illegal buildings.

He also ordered the collectors to take action against the officials who permitted the construction of these structures. Revanth emphasized that, regardless of any pressure, officials must act against illegal establishments, adding that this is how HYDRAA has been operating.
HYDRAA has been a major topic of discussion in Telangana in recent weeks. The team has been demolishing various structures in and around Hyderabad that were built by encroaching on lakes.
