Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu made a sensational statement that the previous Jagan Government used animal fat instead of ghee to prepare Laddus in Tirumala. Immediately, YV Subba Reddy and Bhumana Karunakara Reddy who worked as TTD Chairmans then refuted those allegations.
They alleged that Chandrababu was using religion for petty politics.

In July this year, the new E.O. of TTD sent the Ghee samples supplied to the Temple for Testing to the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories and it was revealed that one of the five suppliers is supplying adulterated ghee.
A show cause notice has been served to the supplier for blacklisting him.

No one wants to believe YSR Congress on this issue because Jagan is a Christian and there is a belief in the devotees that the Government completely mismanaged Tirumala in the last five years. The quality of Laddu and Anna Prasadam has gone drastically down in the last five years.
Jagan’s father, Late YSR brought a controversial G.O. saying that only two hills of the Seven Hills belong to the Lord. Bhumana Karunakara Reddy, an atheist was appointed as the TTD Chairman during YSR’s regime and Jagan re-appointed him.
It was during YSR’s regime, that Andhra Pradesh saw rampant conversions and Sharmila’s husband, Brother Anil Kumar spearheaded them.
TTD was previously used to purchase Nandini ghee from Karnataka Milk Federation. Nandini Ghee has an international reputation for its quality and they supplied ghee to TTD for 50 years. The TTD procures at least 1,400 tonnes of ghee yearly to make the laddus.
When KMF sought an increase in prices citing increased Milk procurement prices, TTD canceled the order (in Jagan’s regime) and went for e-procurement.
Chandrababu Naidu was a pious Bhakt of Lord Balaji. He survived a claymore mine attack in 2003 in Alipiri and he believes it is because of the Lord. People believe he will not lie when it comes to a matter related to TTD and so, the statement gained credibility.
It is to be noted that Chandrababu Naidu’s family is into Milk and Milk Products business but he never tried to get the Ghee contract to Heritage and TTD was always using Nandini Ghee even when he was the Chief Minister.
This row will impact Jagan and his YSR Congress in the long run. People on social media are already saying that the curse of Balaji ensured that the YSR Congress was reduced to 151 to eleven seats.
