
A key development has taken place in ex minister Viveka’s case. His daughter YS Sunita has filed a new petition in Telangana High Court.
She named CBI as the defendant in the case and requested the CBI to take up investigation in her father’s case on a daily basis. A special jury has taken up the hearing on the petition.

It is known that right now the case is in CBI Court. Sunita has alleged that though it has been four years since the incident, the CBI hasn’t made any progress.
Sunita’s counsel took up the discussion. He said the murder occured during midnight of March 14, 2019. The CBI have filed two chargesheets till date, he said.

The case is still in CBI Court, he said asking the High Court to issue orders to wrap up the case in six months. He reminded that the CBI gave a hard disk to the defendants’ lawyers. Since the hard disk was not opening, the lawyers asked for printed copies.
As there were lakhs of documents, the CBI told the defendants that they will have to make do with the hard disk. The case is stuck here for the past 15 months, explained Sunita’s lawyer to the High Court.

The interesting point is that Sunita added CBI in the list of defendants. After hearing the case, the jury gave permission to Sunita’s counsel to give individual notices to all defendants.
The next hearing is postponed for four weeks.
