Vallabhaneni Vamsi is now behind bars in the case of vandalizing the TDP office in Gannavaram and trying to threaten the complainant to withdraw the complaint.
He has been sentenced to fourteen days of Remand and he was shifted to the district jail in Vijayawada.

Vamsi’s wife Pankajasri was following the Police convoy from Hyderabad to Vijayawada. At one stage, the Police had to detain her temporarily so as to make sure that she did not follow them.
She was also at the outside of the Krishnalanka Police Station where Vamsi was questioned for eight hours.

She was talking to the media and was giving bytes about how she is worried about her husband, how she was being denied from meeting him, and many other things.
This is a very familiar modus operandi of the YSR Congress High Command in the last eight months.

In every arrest right from the Social Media abusers to the Former MLAs, the party tries to stir some sentiment by showing their wives during the arrests.
We have seen the wives of social media abusers like Varra Ravindra Reddy, and Inturi Ravikiran and of leaders like Perni Nani and Vamsi now.
They tried to evoke sentiment for their husbands and the party alleging illegal arrests. The party is giving written scripts for them to read before the media but they are being ineffective.
It was the first time, Vamsi’s wife Pankajasri was seen talking to the media. She previously campaigned for Vamsi during the elections but was never seen in Politics on other occasions.
Her videos of her were receiving flak on social media. People were commenting that she should have controlled her husband from talking filth in the last five years and the need for her hitting the roads would not have arisen.
