Thief’s Lavish Life Busted

Panchakshari Swamy, a 37-year-old burglar from Solapur, Maharashtra, lived two lives. One as a master thief and the other as a man who spent stolen wealth to impress women, including a film actress.

Recently arrested in Bengaluru for stealing gold and silver worth Rs 14 lakh, Swamy’s criminal career started in 2003 when he was still a teenager. Over the years, he perfected his skills, committing burglaries across multiple states and amassing crores.

But instead of hiding his wealth, he flaunted it to win over women. His most extravagant gesture? A Rs 3 crore bungalow in Kolkata for a film actress he was romantically involved with.

On top of that, he reportedly gifted her an aquarium worth Rs 22 lakh. His criminal riches allowed him to move in elite circles, even though he was already married with children.

Despite his long list of crimes, Swamy was careful. He studied empty houses before striking and even changed clothes after every theft to avoid getting caught.

But after a well-planned burglary in Bengaluru, the police tracked him down using over 200 CCTV cameras. When they arrested him, they found gold biscuits, silver ornaments, and even a gun.
