A shocking incident has surfaced from Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital, where a 46-year-old air hostess was digitally raped while admitted in the ICU and placed on a ventilator. The accused, Deepak, a machine technician, has confessed during police interrogation.
The act refers to non-consensual penetration of private parts using fingers or toes. It is a severe form of sexual assault, especially traumatic when the victim is unconscious or unable to resist.

The assault occurred on the night of April 6. Deepak entered under the pretext of checking the waistband size and inserted his fingers into the patient’s private parts while she lay semi-conscious. Though aware, she was unable to react due to her condition.
On April 14, after being discharged, the victim informed her husband, and they approached the police. Investigators reviewed over 800 CCTV clips and identified Deepak as the perpetrator.

Police also found that Deepak had watched pornographic videos before and after the assault. His search history supported this behavior.
Deepak, from Badhouli village in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, held a BSc in Operation Theatre Technology from a private institute. He had worked at Medanta for five months and was terminated after his arrest.

The Haryana Health Minister has demanded a full report from the Chief Medical Officer. A special medical board will re-examine the victim on Monday.
