
A video of a staged accident in Bengaluru has gone viral, leaving social media users shocked.
The footage, captured by a car’s dashcam in Whitefield, shows a man suddenly leaping in front of a moving vehicle and falling to the ground, attempting to fake an accident.

The video was shared on Instagram by Prateek Singh, who urged authorities to take strict action against such fraudsters.
Many users commented on the post, calling for stronger laws to punish people trying to exploit innocent drivers. “This is why every car owner needs a dashcam,” one user wrote.

Cases of staged accidents have been reported before in cities like Delhi and Mumbai, but Bengaluru, with its heavy traffic and frequent road congestion, seems to be a new target. Experts warn that such incidents not only put lives at risk but also increase insurance fraud.
