A wedding in Lucknow’s Budheshwar area turned chaotic when a leopard entered the banquet hall on Wednesday night. Hundreds of guests fled in panic, with one person seriously injured after jumping off the roof.
The incident occurred at MM Lawn, where the wedding was in full swing when the leopard suddenly appeared. Videos of the shocking event have since gone viral.

Upon receiving the information, police and forest department officials arrived and evacuated the guests. A search operation was launched under the supervision of Lucknow Divisional Forest Officer Sitanshu Pandey.
A viral clip shows police officers cautiously entering a locked section of the venue, only to be caught off guard when the leopard attempted to grab a rifle from one of them. The startled officers quickly retreated, locking the area again.

The rescue operation lasted over four hours, and by 4 AM on Thursday, the leopard was finally captured. Footage of the animal being secured inside a cage has also surfaced.
Officials believe the leopard may have strayed from nearby forested areas such as Malihabad, Lakhimpur Kheri, or the Dudhwa and Pilibhit Tiger Reserves. Given the agility of the species, tracking its exact origin is difficult.

Authorities urged residents to stay cautious and avoid venturing out alone until the situation was fully under control. The unexpected appearance of a wild animal at a wedding left many shaken but relieved after its safe capture.
