The renowned spiritual preacher Jaya Kishori was recently spotted with a Dior ‘Book Tote’, worth approximately ₹2 Lakhs, sparking a huge debate on social media.
Jaya Kishori, known for her preachings about non-materialism, detachment and simplicity found herself at the centre of a storm as people questioned her for not sticking to her own principles.

Social media went crazy soon after, with people voicing their opinions online, criticising Kishori for her hypocrisy.
One user on X wrote, “This is religious preacher Jaya Kishori… advising renunciation while flaunting a Dior bag, possibly made of cowhide. Jai ho Jaya!”

Another user commented, “Jaya Kishori preaches about renouncing worldly attachments, yet carries a luxury accessory. Hypocrisy at its finest.”
Her followers quickly came forward to her defence. One follower said, “She has said she isn’t a sanyasi but lives like any other person.”

This comment stems from Jaya Kishori’s earlier statements where she had said that although she advocates spiritual growth, she herself practices the ‘household’ way of life.
