Hyderabad, which is often regarded as a meat lovers paradise is ranking third in the country in terms of vegetarian orders. The city is next only to Mumbai and Bengaluru on this list.

Hyderabad’s two most popular veg dishes are Masala Dosa and Idly which is more of a staple morning diet for the locals.
While Biryani continues to trend as the most famous nonvegetarian dish, the spike in vegetarian food consumers indicates the tendency of the citizens to opt for plant-based consumption.

It appears to be that Hyderabadis are increasingly inclining towards vegetarian cuisine in view of the growing health concerns about the quality of meat products.
The recent investigations and inspections of the Food Safety Department and related findings in popular eateries across the city appear to have little effect on the food ordering culture among the locals.
