The video reveals a drainage system filled with discarded condoms. While there is no official confirmation about the location, a few on social media claim it was shot near a PG hostel in Hyderabad. While many say it is not from India but from Africa.

Even if the exact location remains unverified, the situation in India is not much better.
Many users on social media are expressing concern about how young adults, who are sent to PGs to focus on their studies, are allegedly getting distracted and engaging in such activities.

However, young adults have the right to engage in consensual activities, especially when practicing safe sex. That alone should not be a concern.
The problem arises when the repercussions of such actions begin to affect the environment or society at large.

Using protection is one part of the equation; discarding it responsibly is the other.
Irresponsible disposal of used condoms contributes to pollution, contaminates water bodies, and harms the environment.
Sex education that is incomplete can be just as harmful as no sex education at all.
If people genuinely want to see change, they need to destigmatise discussions around sexual health and sex education. We must openly address these topics, including their consequences.
Stopping young people, or anyone, from engaging in consensual sexual activity will not solve these problems. Education will.
