A recent internship listing offering just ₹10 per month in Mumbai has gone viral, sparking laughter, memes, and a wave of online reactions.
Shared on Naukri.com, the listing was for a backend developer intern at Falcon Labs. At first glance, the role seemed normal, until people noticed the stipend: ₹10 per month. That’s barely enough for a cutting chai.

Despite the absurd pay, over 1,900 people applied for the role. It was a mix of shock and comedy. One user joked, “Even beggars earn more, LMAO,” while another said, “₹10? Bro, that’s my momos sorted.” Someone else called it “better than unpaid.”
The listing quickly became a meme magnet. Social media was filled with clips from Kaun Banega Crorepati, Phir Hera Pheri, and other popular desi references.

People used the post to mock the job market, which many believe has become brutal for freshers and college graduates.
Falcon Labs eventually responded to the buzz. In a LinkedIn post, they clarified that the ₹10 amount was an error. They explained that the post was not uploaded from their official account but was likely created by Naukri.com’s web crawler, which mistakenly set the stipend to ₹10.

The company added that they are offering internships with proper stipends of ₹10,000 per month and encouraged interested candidates to apply through official channels.
