Two thieves in Ranchi recently pulled off a robbery that felt less like a crime and more like a scene from a comedy film. The incident took place on the night of May 17 at Bholaji Misthan Bhandar, a sweet shop and restaurant.
But before they got down to stealing, the duo decided to indulge in some treats and fun. CCTV footage shows the two men entering the shop casually, as if they were invited guests.

They helped themselves to sweets, drank cold beverages, and then, in a moment of pure confidence or absurdity, started dancing inside the kitchen.
It was not a quick groove but an actual carefree, arms-in-the-air kind of dance. Once their little party was over, they packed some sweets to go, grabbed about ₹80,000 in cash, and disappeared into the night.

The shop’s co-owner, Ashok Gupta, said the loss was more than just the cash or the stolen snacks. The thieves also took other valuable items. And of course, their unusual behavior added an extra layer of shock.
An FIR has been filed and police have launched an investigation. Based on the video, authorities believe these men may not be locals. The officer in charge, Manoj Kumar, said efforts are on to identify and catch them soon.

The internet, however, is already entertained. The footage of these carefree criminals has gone viral, with people commenting on the strange mix of crime and goofiness.
