The expectations are very high for the upcoming edition of the IPL 2025 with the mega auction and the subsequent retentions in place. In tune with the same, there is a shocking new update that is going viral.
Incidentally, according to reports from national media, CSK’s CEO Kasi Viswanath has spoken about possibly skipping the retention rule to retain MS Dhoni.

“We are not sure at this stage. We might not even use it for MS Dhoni. It’s still too early to comment on this because we haven’t had discussions with him. Dhoni was in the US and we haven’t had discussions yet. Now I am travelling this week, so there is a possibility of some discussions in the coming week. So there could be some clarity then. We are hopeful of him playing but it’s a call Dhoni will himself make.” The CEO said to the media.
While the natural expectation is that CSK would retain Dhoni even with a blindfold, the comment from the franchise CEO has led to a discussion.

Dhoni is the biggest player in IPL and there are no second thoughts about and without him, CSK wouldn’t have half the legacy they currently have. So, the chances are that the retention might well happen, but the CEO has just kept everyone in hindsight about the same with his cryptic comment today.
