For a decade now, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli shouldered the Indian cricket team, and their combo is fondly referred to as “Rohirat” from ROHit, virAT. Now that these two stars have retired from the sport after the historic T20 World Cup win, India is transitioning into a new phase.

Coming to the point, India has completed two T-20 series after the retirement of Rohirat and won them both(against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka).

But the assured top order is not to be seen here. Rohit and Kohli took up these spots brilliantly while they were in the side, but this assured duo is no longer here and that is leaving space for skepticism.

Jaiswal and Gill are alright but can they deliver in big-name tournaments? This question is way too tough to answer. The composure is not entirely there, which is a given considering their young careers.

Gambhir as the coach looks aggressive and he has infused the intent in the side but more dominating performances are expected. Moreover, wins against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe will account for very little for this new-look side.

Once they come up against Australia, England, South Africa and New Zealand, this is when the real game starts for Surya and also Gambhir.
