The Kings were in trouble at 34/3. But Nehal Wadhera played a brilliant 70 off 37. Then Shashank Singh took over, smashing 59* off 30. Thanks to them, PBKS posted 219/5.

RR started slow. Sanju Samson got out for 20. Riyan Parag, once again, failed when the team needed him the most.
He played a slow and ineffective innings, putting more pressure on the middle order. Hetmyer also failed. Punjab’s bowlers were tight and defended the total with ease.

Shreyas Iyer has brought the best out of Punjab. Wadhera and Shashank are shining when it matters.
On the other side, RR’s season has been full of mistakes. Retaining Riyan Parag and Hetmyer has clearly backfired. Both have failed in big matches.
Punjab are at 17 points and have a great chance to make the playoffs. They are in control.
