The IPL auction got underway yesterday and the set of main marquee players were auctioned already.
Today’s session is going to be a rather timid one and it only determines how much padding each team can get, while their cores have been formed already with yesterday’s selections.

In this context, if we look at the new buys for this year’s auction and the overall strength of each side; then we have only one clear winner and that is SRH.
SRH is the only team in the league thus far to have each and every box ticked.

The top order consists of Head, Abhishek and Ishaan Kishan. While the middle order has Klaasen and Nitish Kumar, along with Abhinav Manohar.
The pace order with Cummins and Shami is sorted out. If Bhuvaneshwar Kumar is retained then sky is the limit.

With Rahul Chahar and Adam Zampa, the spin department is also heavily sorted. As for wicket keeping, Kishan can do the job.
No other team looks this sorted and efficient in terms of overall composition and X factor skills. SRH is miles ahead of everyone in terms of the opening rounds of the auction. This could well be considered the strongest team of the tournament.
