IPL 2025 RCBvs SRH

RCB lost by 42 runs to SRH in Lucknow. This defeat puts them at 3rd in the IPL 2025 points table.

What’s worse — this is their 18th loss while chasing 200+ targets, second most by any team after DC.

SRH batted first and got off to a flyer. Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head gave them quick runs before Ishan Kishan took charge.

Kishan smashed an unbeaten 94 off 48 balls, dominated the innings. Heinrich Klaasen and Aniket Verma gave good support and Pat Cummins finished strong with 13 not out. SRH posted 231 for 6.

RCB’s bowlers struggled without Josh Hazlewood. Romario Shepherd was the only one to pick some wickets, 2 for 14.

Chasing 232, RCB looked solid early on. Virat Kohli and Phil Salt added 80 runs for the first wicket.

Kohli scored 43 and Salt 62. At 173 for 3 in 15.3 overs, it seemed like RCB were cruising.

But then chaos. In 4.3 overs, RCB lost 7 wickets for 16 runs. A wild collapse and they were all out for 189.

Rajat Patidar struggled to keep up, Tim David and others couldn’t handle the pressure. Middle and lower order failed big time.

Pat Cummins was brilliant with the ball, 3 wickets and controlled the game. Under his captaincy, SRH have never lost while defending 200+ targets — now four times in a row.

Fans on social media had a field day roasting RCB’s meltdown. They called it one of the wildest collapses in IPL history and joked that beating RCB is always easy for SRH.

Many said RCB is missing Hazlewood badly. Kohli got praise for his innings but most blame went to Rajat Patidar and the rest of the middle order.




With this loss, RCB’s top two finish hopes are in serious trouble. They need to win all their remaining matches and fix their middle order problems fast.They are set.
