South Africa finally winning the WTC Final was a big moment for the Proteas, as they went on to finally end their tag of chokers after a long long time.
However, Captain Temba Bavuma’s reaction to winning the trophy, which could barely be called a reaction, couldn’t be hidden from anybody.

The Proteas skipper was seemingly emotionless as it was destined that the rainbow nation would lift the mace in 2025.
Many Indians saw this and were quick to start trolling their own team, showing stills of the Indian side, including coach GG and Virat Kohli celebrating after India avoided a follow-on against Australia in last year’s BGT.

Though this criticism is valid, one should remember that the match was at a very crucial point at that time. Any glimmer of hope that India could get felt like a big achievement when things weren’t going our way.
These are the same people who often come forward to say cricket has no emotion like football when players fail to express themselves on-field.

We, as fans, should leave such petty arguments aside and celebrate our team for being such a dominant side in the game for so long.
